Our Staff
Anastacio Vasquez, Director
Mr. Vasquez is a dedicated well known baseball, football and softball coach, throughout Norwood. Coach Chino last worked for Clinton High School as baseball and football coach. He has won many championships throughout his life. He also shares his loves of sports with the children in his community and all of those who he comes in contact with. Mr. Vasquez has mentored many children in his life including his own and greatly succeeded as a coach. He has guided many children to the higher education and others achievements such as joining professional leagues. Some of his former students have returned as coaches to give back the encouragement, skills and devotion that were selflessly imparted on them.
Zoila Peña, President
Ms. Peña has more than 15 years experience working with youth and family. She is currently working as Sr. Social Worker for Westchester Department of Social Services. She serves mostly Juvenile Delinquent, kids in need of supervision and neglect. Ms. Peña facilitates family reunification through setting up community services for youth and family. Ms. Pena has counseled, mentored, monitored thousand of youngsters through her Social Worker Career. She is big advocate of educational and vocational programs including after school, athletics and mentoring. Her experience is that this will keep young teenagers focused on improving themselves. She enjoys working with youth and believes that we all can make a difference of a child's life.
Marisol Guzmán, Vice-President
Ms. Guzmán has more than ten years experience of fund raising. She has worked with Burger King Charities and The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). She was also a team mom for The Bronx Bengals. Ms. Guzmán enjoys spending time with the youth and helping them stay off the streets.
Yudelka Peña, Secretary/Public Relations Coordinator
Ms. Yudelka Peña is a recent graduate from SUNY College At Oneonta with Bachelors degree in Computer art and Design. She has worked as a Peer Advisor and Mentor in the college environment. She has done numerous volunteer hours with local churches, such as tutoring and mentoring youth. Ms. Yudelka Peña, derives great joy in working for the diverse community of the Bronx. Such experience has given her a better understanding of the everyday life struggles of youngsters. She is looking forward to becoming an Art/Design Teacher, that will allow her to assist in her community's growth and development. She believes that artistic expression and sports are two of the best ways to relieve emotions.
Victor Campbell, After School Coordinator and Soccer Technical Director
Mr. Cambell has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Education. He worked 8 years as a math and health education teacher. He is currently the sports coordinator for the NYC Park and Recreation. In addition he has coached more than 15 years and over 5,000 kids through his coaching career. Mr. Cambell has achieved athletes in the Olympic track and field competition as well as the world cup of soccer. Mr. Cambell strongly believes that after school activities are imperative for every young person's development. His desire is to help the Bronx Communities youth to reach their optimum goal in sports and education. He is looking forward to share his experience and knowledge with today's youth.
Miguel Rivera Jr., Head Coach
Mr. Rivera has twenty years of playing football for different organizations such as The Buddy Young, Big Apple Youth Football, The Coaches Classic and The Big 8. He has also played semi-pro arena football in Pennsylvania for the Lancaster Lightings. Mr. Rivera was a flag football player for teams as The Wolverines, The Young Guns, The Rebels and etc. He also played Softball for the Bronx Desperados for the last 3 years as a pitcher and a catcher. Mr. Rivera enjoys sharing his knowledge with the youth.
